What Minneapolis agents can say about radon without guessing

Before the purchase agreement is signed, the seller discloses known radon information in writing and gives the buyer MDH’s brochure. Testing and mitigation are not mandatory, and the parties negotiate who pays.

MDH wants the sale test run by a licensed professional with an approved device. A seller’s old summer charcoal kit is context, not the test to rely on. If a system is in, look for the MDH tag for work on or after September 1, 2020, and ask for a post-mitigation test.
